Shipping & Delivery Policy

At The Millett Road Maker (www.millettroadmaker.com.au), we bake to order to ensure you receive our fresh sourdough crumpets and products at peak quality. Because our fresh products require temperature-controlled transport, we use specialised refrigerated delivery channels.

1. Fresh Product Delivery (Refrigerated Transport)

Most of our fresh products are delivered using Professional Carriers, our trusted cold-chain courier partner.

  • Cold-Chain Assurance: Your order travels in a temperature-controlled environment directly to your door to preserve freshness.

  • Delivery Schedule: In most cases, Professional Carriers delivers on the exact same day your order is dispatched from our bakery.

2. Dispatch Timelines & Made-to-Order Freshness

Because we make our sourdough crumpets fresh to order and operate on dedicated baking cycles:

  • Dispatch Window: It can take up to 7 days from the date you place your order for it to be baked and dispatched.

  • Assigned Delivery Day: Within 48 hours of placing your order, we will send you an email or SMS notification confirming your assigned dispatch and delivery day.

3. Delivery Day Tracking & Notifications

On your assigned delivery day, Professional Carriers will send you an SMS text message with an estimated time of arrival (ETA) so you know when to expect your delivery.

  • Please ensure your mobile phone number and delivery instructions are accurate during checkout.

4. Non-Perishable Goods & Alternative Carriers

Occasionally, for orders containing strictly non-perishable items (or for specific delivery locations), we may ship via Australia Post.

If your order is being fulfilled via Australia Post, we will inform you in your order confirmation email and provide a standard tracking number.

5. Delivery Instructions & Unattended Deliveries

Because our products are perishable, please ensure someone is available to receive the delivery or specify a safe, shaded location for the driver to leave your box if you are not home. Once delivered, fresh items should be refrigerated or consumed promptly according to packaging instructions.
